Are you the kind of nanny who leads with patience, positivity, and a calm, confident presence? Do you love helping children build confidence, navigate big emotions, and celebrate everyday wins? If so, this incredible Beverlywood (West LA) family would love to meet you! This busy, welcoming family is searching for a mature, engaging afternoon nanny to become an important part of their weekly routine beginning in mid-August. While you’ll occasionally lend a hand with their active 12-year-old son, your primary focus (about 90–95% of the time) will be their spirited 7-year-old daughter. She is a bright, funny, energetic little girl who thrives with structure, encouragement, and caregivers who understand how to support neurodivergent children with compassion and confidence.
Their daughter is always on the go, with afternoons filled with gymnastics, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and plenty of opportunities for learning through play and everyday experiences. She experiences big feelings from time to time, so the family is hoping to find someone who is familiar with ADHD and emotional regulation, knows how to redirect with patience, maintain consistent boundaries, and create a calm environment where she can feel successful. Experience supporting children with special needs or other neurodivergent children is highly valued.
The schedule is Monday through Wednesday, typically from 2:00 PM to approximately 7:00 PM, with a guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week (most weeks totaling 15-20 hours). The family may need to extend hours (Monday-Wednesdays) and request babysitting hours on Thursday evenings if there are sporting events or school functions if the nanny is available. The family values flexibility and will provide advance notice whenever schedules change.

The family is looking for a true partner, someone who naturally teaches kindness, reinforces manners, models respectful behavior inside and outside of the home, and helps children grow into confident, capable people. Every interaction is viewed as an opportunity to learn, whether you’re driving to an activity, chatting during snack time, or helping navigate a challenging moment. Speaking of driving… you’ll definitely want to enjoy being behind the wheel! A large portion of each afternoon will involve school pick-ups from the family’s homeschool center in Brentwood and safely transporting the children to their various activities. An excellent driving record and confidence navigating Los Angeles are essential. While most afternoons will revolve around their daughter, there may occasionally be opportunities to help with their 12-year-old son by taking him to soccer practice or assisting with transportation as he begins seventh grade and settles into a busy schedule of sports and school events.
They’re hoping to welcome someone who is dependable, emotionally intelligent, and truly enjoys building meaningful relationships with children. A strong work ethic, professionalism, and previous experience in similar roles are important. Standard vaccinations, including the annual flu shot, are preferred. The family has two friendly Labrador Retrievers who simply need an occasional potty break and fresh water throughout the afternoon.
