Loving + Devoted parents in Santa Clarita are seeking a warm, dependable, and engaging nanny to care for their almost 4-year-old daughter who has epilepsy. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys working with young children and is committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. Responsibilities include engaging their daughter in play, reading, educational activities, outdoor time, and creative experiences that support her growth and independence. Because of her medical needs, the nanny must be CPR certified, willing to complete a free Epilepsy First Aid course, learn and confidently follow her seizure action plan, and remain calm in the event of an emergency. Experience with toddlers, preschool-aged children, special needs, or medically complex care is highly valued.

LOCATION: Santa Clarita, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)

SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with flexibility on both days and hours.

RATE: $25-$30/hr gross

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Willing to work exclusively with their daughter (and no other children)- to limit the risk of her getting sick
  • Must be willing to complete a free Epilepsy First Aid course before beginning care.
  • STRONG Communication Skills

Because of their daughters epilepsy, a simple fever is cause for extreme caution (as it can lead to a seizure), so maintaining a healthy environment is an essential part of this role. The ideal nanny will prioritize illness prevention by practicing excellent hygiene, being honest about any symptoms or recent exposure to illness, and staying home when sick rather than risking their daughters health. The family prefers a caregiver who is dedicated solely to their daughter (and no other nanny families or school settings) to help minimize exposure to germs. Open and proactive communication regarding any health concerns is expected, as protecting their daughters well-being is more important than perfect attendance.

This family is looking for someone who is honest, dependable, attentive, and an excellent communicator. Personal phone use while caring for their daughter is not permitted, as they are seeking someone who will be fully present and engaged throughout the day. More than just a caregiver, they hope to find someone who will become a trusted part of their family and provide their daughter with exceptional care, safety, and encouragement every day. They are excited to interview and can’t wait to meet you!
