Awesome Return Clients based in Cheviot Hills are seeking a reliable and proactive Family Assistant to support their household on a temporary-to-potential permanent basis, with an initial commitment of three-four months! The role is part-time, typically scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, two to three days per week—ideally on an every-other-day cadence such as Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with some flexibility.
The Family Assistant will play a key role in helping the household run smoothly by handling a wide variety of tasks, including running errands, grocery shopping, trips to the dry cleaners, and general household organization. Responsibilities also include light housekeeping such as tidying up common areas (no deep cleaning required), organizing spaces like the garage and playroom, and assisting with sorting and donating unused toys and clothing.
LOCATION: Cheviot Hills, CA (Greater Los Angeles Area)
SCHEDULE: 2-3 Days/Week from 10AM-2PM (Ideally M/W/F)
DURATION: 3-4 Month Initial Commitment (Possibility of Extending Long-Term)
RATE: $35-$40/hr Gross (on payroll)
REQUIREMENTS:
- Detail Oriented + Innately Organized
- Valid Driver’s License + Reliable Vehicle
- Experience Working with Pre-Teens (Ideal)
In addition to household support, the Family Assistant will occasionally assist with the family’s 12-year-old son by providing transportation to activities, helping with homework, and planning engaging, age-appropriate activities. The role may also involve researching and coordinating extracurricular opportunities for him. Ideal candidates are adaptable, organized, and comfortable taking initiative across a broad range of responsibilities, functioning as an extra set of hands for a busy parent. A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required, as errands and occasional child transportation are part of the role.
