A wonderful family of 3 in Mar Vista is seeking a nanny/family assistant to care for their almost 5-year-old daughter, who will be starting Kindergarten this fall in Century City. Both parents work full-time from home and are looking for someone who can become a trusted extension of the family, helping with school pickups, engaging their daughter in fun activities, and assisting with light household tasks that keep the week running smoothly.
DUTIES:
- School pickups and transportation to activities (can use family car )
- Planning fun, age-appropriate outings and activities
- Preparing snacks and simple meals/lunches for the child
- Folding laundry
- Emptying the dishwasher
- Organizing and maintaining the child’s bedroom and play areas
- Grocery pickups (pre-ordered)
- Dry cleaning and returns
- Taking family vehicles for car washes as needed
- General family assistant support related to keeping the household running smoothly
- Occasional dog walks for the family’s friendly Vizsla
LOCATION: Mar Vista, CA
COMPENSATION: $35-$40/hour DOE
SCHEDULE: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 2-6 and Wednesdays, 1-5 with occasional date night coverage with advanced notice
REQUIREMENTS:
- Comfortable doing a blend of family assistant and nanny duties
- Current Tdap and MMR vaccinations
- Dog Friendly
The ideal candidate is calm, flexible, organized, has a great sense of humor, and genuinely enjoys spending time with young children. French-speaking is a plus but not required.
