A busy single mom in LA’s beautiful Nichols Canyon neighborhood is seeking an exceptional TEMP PT Nanny/Family Assistant to step in ASAP for a minimum of 6–8 weeks and act as her trusted right hand in managing all aspects of life for her bright, sweet, outgoing, and independent 6-year-old daughter. This role is ideal for a proactive, polished candidate who thrives in a true partnership role and can confidently take the lead while mom navigates a demanding work schedule. General duties include school pick-up and transporting the child to after-school activities (family vehicle provided), preparing healthy and organic meals and snacks for the child, grocery shopping, coordinating playdates and activities, managing the child’s appointments and schedule, keeping her bedroom, belongings, and play areas organized and tidy, assisting with household organization projects, running errands, and coordinating household vendors as needed. The child is social, athletic, creative, and enjoys arts and crafts, reading, dance, and staying active. She is affectionate and sweet, but also spirited and strong-willed, so the family is looking for someone who can foster independence while maintaining structure, consistency, and a nurturing presence.
LOCATION: Nichols Canyon, Los Angeles, CA
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE:
- General schedule is Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 12pm–6pm (18 hours/week). Candidates must be flexible, as the schedule may occasionally require earlier starts or later evenings.
- For the week of June 15th, the role will temporarily shift to full-time hours to accommodate an especially demanding work period for mom.
COMPENSATION: $35/hour gross
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Spotless driving record
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
- Comfortable preparing healthy, organic meals for the child
- Strong swimmer and willing to swim with the child
The ideal candidate is polished, proactive, flexible, emotionally intelligent, and highly dependable. This family is looking for someone with excellent judgment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to anticipate needs before they arise. You should be warm and engaging with children while also capable of confidently managing the moving parts of a busy household and supporting a high-achieving working parent.
