An adventurous, welcoming family is seeking an energetic, flexible, and experienced Travel Nanny to join them for an exciting month-long holiday adventure! The family has an adorable 20-month-old little boy and is looking for someone who genuinely loves toddlers, enjoys traveling, and can easily adapt to different environments, schedules, and time zones. Mom and Dad are very hands-on and love spending quality time with their son, often taking him on outings themselves. They’re looking for a team player who can jump in with childcare when needed and help with light household and family assistant duties during downtime. The family will begin their trip in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they’ll spend approximately three weeks with relatives, before heading to Palm Desert, California, and then Hawaii. DUTIES:
- Providing attentive, loving, and developmentally appropriate care for a 20-month-old toddler
- Managing daily routines, including meals, naps, playtime, and bedtime
- Supporting potty-training readiness and helping introduce age-appropriate potty-training routines
- Planning engaging activities and keeping the child active and entertained
- Assisting with outings, family activities, and travel transitions
- Helping prepare the child’s meals and snacks
- Assisting with toddler’s meal preparation by following Mom’s favorite recipes
- Keeping the kitchen tidy, washing dishes, and helping with light household tasks
- Handling the child’s laundry and keeping clothing and belongings organized
- Packing and organizing the child’s supplies for travel between destinations
- Working collaboratively with hands-on parents and stepping in wherever needed
- Providing overnight care and responding to the child’s needs if he wakes
LOCATION: Pittsburgh, PA → Palm Desert, CA → Hawaii
DATES: December 7, 2026 – January 9, 2027
SCHEDULE: 24-hour travel nanny position with four hours of uninterrupted time off daily. The nanny will be needed throughout the assignment, including weekends and holidays. Overnight childcare responsibility is required, including attending to the child if he wakes.
COMPENSATION: $700-800/day, with time-and-a-half compensation for designated holidays. All travel expenses, accommodations, and meals are covered by the family.
ACCOMMODATIONS: The nanny will share a bedroom with the 20-month-old child and will have her own private bathroom. Overnight childcare responsibilities are required, including tending to the child if he wakes during the night.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional nanny experience, with strong toddler experience
- Previous travel nanny or 24/7 childcare experience strongly preferred
- Energetic, active, adaptable, and genuinely enthusiastic about traveling
- Comfortable adjusting to different time zones, environments, and family routines
- Valid passport and willingness to travel
- Experience with toddler development and potty training
- Comfortable preparing simple meals and following family recipes
- Happy assisting with light household duties and child-related organization
- Comfortable working closely with hands-on parents and extended family
- Flexible, proactive, and able to anticipate the family’s needs
- Comfortable sharing a bedroom with the child and providing overnight care
- Comfortable with dogs
- Spanish-speaking candidates preferred but not required
- Available for the entire December 7–January 9 assignment
