The family is seeking a highly experienced, calm, and flexible nanny to support their busy household and collaborate seamlessly with both parents and an additional afternoon nanny. The schedule has traditionally been Monday through Friday from 7AM–7PM, with responsibilities centered around caring for the family’s younger children while helping coordinate school drop-offs and pick-ups for the older siblings. Beginning in September, the 3-year-old will start preschool, shifting the daytime focus primarily to the infant, along with midday preschool pick-up and maintaining the younger children’s routines, including naps and quiet time. The role also includes occasional care for all four children during school holidays or sick days, though the older children are increasingly independent and mature for their ages.
LOCATION: Pacific Palisades (Los Angeles), CA
SCHEDULE: M-F 7AM-7PM
COMPENSATION: Anticipated Annual Comp. of $120-$130k/Year DOE
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong working knowledge of early childhood + developmental milestones; background in education and/or child development highly preferred!
- Safe Driver with a strong driving record
- Up to date on vaccinations, including Covid
- Looking for Long-Term Commitment
The ideal candidate will be confident driving a minivan, have strong infant and toddler experience, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and thrive in a collaborative environment with changing schedules and multiple caregivers. An easygoing, adaptable personality and strong executive functioning skills are especially important, as is the ability to communicate clearly and coordinate effectively with the parents and household team.
You should be comfortable working as a team but also fully confident in your abilities to manage all four children on your own as well whenever needed! Duties will include general childcare, maintaining schedules, driving to/from activities (using provided nanny car), preparing simple meals for the children, light housekeeping pertaining to the kids and their activities (dishes, laundry, toys, play areas, etc.), assisting with bathing and bedtime routines and general family assistance. The ideal candidate is engaging, playful, imaginative, patient, and easygoing, while also a being proactive, detail-oriented, and organized.
