A warm, welcoming HNW family in Newport Beach is seeking an experienced full-time, live-out Hybrid Nanny/Family Assistant to support their 6-month-old baby and provide invaluable assistance to mom. The family is currently living in a beautifully staffed multigenerational estate alongside grandparents, with plans to move into their own nearby home in the coming months. They would love a candidate who is excited to help make that transition as smooth as possible. This is a collaborative, fully staffed household with housekeepers, caregivers, an on-site nurse, a houseman, and a laundress, so the ideal candidate will enjoy working as part of a team while taking ownership of their responsibilities. While infant care is an important part of the role, the position is primarily focused on supporting mom by keeping the household running smoothly. Responsibilities include sanitizing bottles, tidying and organizing the nursery and children’s belongings, putting away clothing, assisting with dishes, grocery shopping and returns, preparing simple, nutritious meals, anticipating household needs, creating organizational systems, and providing attentive care for the baby whenever mom is unavailable.
LOCATION: Newport Beach, CA (Live-Out; Local Candidates Only)
START DATE: ASAP
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, approximately 9:00/10:00 AM-6:00/7:00 PM (40-45 hours/week). Please be flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends with advance notice
COMPENSATION: $35-$50/hour gross, DOE.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Local to the Newport Beach/Orange County area
- 5+ years of professional experience with ages 0-5
- Previous experience working in a high-net-worth, fully staffed, or similarly high-touch household.
- Proven longevity in past positions (ideally 3+ years)
- Strong working knowledge of ages/stages
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Proactive, resourceful, & able to anticipate needs without direction.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to create and maintain organizational systems.
- Comfortable collaborating with household staff while working independently.
- Confident preparing simple meals & assisting with household management tasks.
- Open to travel up to 1 week (domestic only)
- Dog friendly & comfortable dog sitting if family is away
- Current on Tdap vaccination
- Willing to use personal vehicle as needed (mileage reimbursed)
