Fabulous Family in Calabasas is searching for an experienced, energetic, and proactive Full-Time Nanny to join their wonderful household team! With five children ranging in age from 2 to 9, this is an exciting opportunity for a nanny who genuinely loves children, thrives in a busy household, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team. Both parents are involved, and Mom is hands-on with the children. The family also employs a live-in nanny, live-in housekeeper, and part-time nanny, so teamwork, flexibility, and excellent communication are essential. They are looking for someone who can jump in wherever needed, anticipate the family’s needs, and know when to take the lead and when to give the family space. This is a fun, active household where no two days are exactly alike! The family values kindness, creativity, and raising children who love and respect one another. They encourage imaginative, screen-free play, outdoor adventures, and letting kids be kids, even if that means coming home covered in dirt!
DUTIES
- Provide loving, attentive, and engaging care for five children, ages 2, 3½, 5, 7, and 9.
- Work closely with Mom and the other nannies to coordinate the children’s schedules and daily routines.
- Handle school pickups and drop-offs, extracurricular activities, sports, birthday parties, and outings (nanny car provided, must be comfortable driving a large SUV)
- Plan fun, creative, age-appropriate activities that encourage independence and imaginative play.
- Assist with meals, snacks, dinner preparation, and evening routines.
- Help the children transition smoothly into bedtime, including getting them ready and settled upstairs.
- Assist with child-related laundry, organizing closets, toys, and play areas.
- Proactively tackle child-related household projects during quieter hours, such as organizing LEGO collections, sorting clothing, and maintaining children’s spaces.
- Accompany the family on outings and occasional trips.
- Provide occasional evening and overnight coverage as arranged.
- Collaborate with the household staff to ensure everything runs smoothly.
LOCATION: Calabasas, CA
SCHEDULE: Tuesday–Saturday, approximately 50+ hours per week, with flexibility required.
- Tuesday–Thursday: Approximately 10 AM–7:30 PM, with some flexibility on start times. Mornings may involve household organization, meal preparation, and child-related tasks, followed by busy afternoons of school pickups, activities, dinner, and helping with bedtime routines.
- Friday: Approximately 7:30 AM–7:30 PM, with occasional later evenings
- Saturday: Approximately 9 AM–7:30 PM, with flexibility to stay later for family events or date nights.
- Sunday & Monday: Off.
Occasional overnight coverage may be needed when the parents travel, generally Thursday through Saturday. The family also takes occasional trips and would love a nanny who is comfortable traveling with them when needed. Flexibility is important, and additional hours, overnight responsibilities, and travel schedules will be discussed in advance.
COMPENSATION: $35-$40hour base rate plus applicable overtime, along with a $1,000 monthly health insurance stipend.
REQUIREMENTS
- Significant professional nanny experience, ideally with multiple children and busy households.
- Comfortable caring for children ranging from toddlers to elementary school age.
- Excellent driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, overnights, and travel.
- Comfortable working alongside other household staff and hands-on parents.
- Proactive, organized, dependable, and able to multitask.
- Comfortable around the family’s two dogs, a German Shepherd and a Goldendoodle.
- Current Tdap and MMR vaccinations and annual flu vaccination.
