Calling all smart, proactive, and energetic Family Assistants! A busy, fun blended family in Brentwood is looking for a wonderful part-time Nanny/Family Assistant to join their household long-term. The family has three children, ages 5, 12, and 14, and is looking for someone warm, responsible, flexible, and ready to become a trusted part of the family.
The role will primarily focus on their sweet 5-year-old daughter after school—preschool pickup, driving her to activities, playing and engaging with her, and helping with her afternoon routine. Before pickup, you’ll wear more of a Family Assistant hat, helping with errands, groceries, organization, light meal prep, and keeping the household running smoothly. Mom works as a social media content creator, so there may also occasionally be small personal-assistant errands or organizational tasks related to her work. The family has a housekeeper, so this is not a housekeeping or deep-cleaning role. They’re simply looking for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and is happy to pitch in!
DUTIES:
- Preschool pickup and transportation for the 5-year-old
- Driving to and from after-school activities
- Engaging in fun, age-appropriate play and activities
- Helping with the 5-year-old’s afternoon routine
- Running errands and grocery shopping
- Light dinner preparation
- Walking the family dog
- Keeping the kitchen, playroom, and children’s areas tidy and organized
- Occasional light laundry
- General household organization and Family Assistant support
- Occasional personal-assistant errands/tasks for Mom
- Occasional travel with the family, if available
LOCATION: Brentwood, CA
RATE: $35/hour
SCHEDULE:
Monday & Tuesday: Approximately 12:00–6:00/7:00 PM
Every other Friday: Approximately 12:00–7:00 PM
Sundays: Additional hours may be available for candidates interested in weekend work
REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong professional nanny experience
- Experience with both younger and school-aged children
- Clean driving record and confident driver
- Pet friendly and comfortable walking the family dog
- Passport ready and open to occasional travel
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable balancing childcare and Family Assistant responsibilities
- Self-starter with a genuine “pitch-in” mentality
- Flexible and dependable
The ideal candidate is warm, upbeat, energetic, and great with kids, while also being organized and proactive enough to help keep a busy household on track. You enjoy wearing a few different hats, don’t need to be told every little thing that needs to get done, and understand how to step in and make life easier for a busy family. The family hired an amazing Family Assistant this spring who has been a wonderful fit but is heading back to school. She’ll be available to help train the new hire and ensure a smooth transition. The family also travels fairly often, so someone who enjoys traveling and has the flexibility to join them occasionally would be a huge plus.
