Wonderful Return Clients in Woodland Hills is looking for an amazing MORNING nanny to help care for their two wonderful children! They have two boys; a 5 Old who has Cerebral Palsy and a 14 month old! Their older son has very limited physical mobility and relies on his caregivers + wheelchair to be mobile. While he is limited in what he can do physically, cognitively he is a typical 5 year old and he uses a computer to speak! You will need to be able to carry him, lift him up from the ground and get him situated in his wheelchair and other adaptive equipment. They have an AMAZING Westside Nanny who has been with them for 2 years, she works afternoons/evenings and they are now looking to add a morning caregiver to their team!
Your role will involve tag teaming with mom and/or dad to get their 5 year old up and ready for the day; getting him dressed, toileting, feeding him, unloading the dishwasher, prep breakfast, etc! Mom usually does school drop off, so you will stay home with her 14 month old until she arrives back home!

These parents are willing to TRAIN you on whatever skills you might need to care for their son (feedings, etc)- and while they want someone who has special needs experience, the most important thing that they are looking for is truly someone who shares the same outlook and mindset on individuals with disabilities. They want someone who is not intimidated by a wheelchair but sees it as a wonderful tool that allows him to be mobile, someone who does not look down on or pity those who are disabled but instead presumes competence. Their son is a fun loving little guy, and they want their nanny to have the same silly, playful and outgoing spirit as him! The parents look at themselves as extensions of their sons body, he experiences the world through them and they want their nanny to share that same outlook and be invested in helping him experience life to its fullest potential!
They are excited to interview and can have you start ASAP (they need to have someone in the role no later than October 16th, but would love to have you start sooner if possible! Apply today to have a chance to meet with this amazing family!
