Wonderful return clients in Mar Vista are seeking a loving, engaging, and developmentally focused part-time nanny to care for their sweet 17-month-old daughter. The family is expecting their second baby in October, though the primary focus of this role will remain on their toddler. Their daughter is bright, active, and easygoing. The family is looking for someone who can confidently support her developmental milestones while helping her flourish as she prepares to become a big sister. This family values meaningful engagement, creativity, and learning through play.
DUTIES
- Provide engaging, developmentally appropriate care for a 17-month-old toddler
- Plan age-appropriate activities, reading, outdoor play, and creative learning experiences
- Support developmental milestones and encourage language development
- Help prepare the toddler for the transition to becoming a big sister
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for the child
- Child’s laundry and organization
- Tidy child-related areas after activities and meals
- Occasional date nights with advance notice
LOCATION: Mar Vista, CA
SCHEDULE: Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 7:00 AM-11:00 AM or 8:00 AM-12:00 PM, with flexibility to do Friday evenings or Saturday evenings for occasional date nights.
COMPENSATION: $35-$40/hour DOE
REQUIREMENTS
- Toddler and infant experience required, experience working with 2 young children
- Preschool teaching experience, Early Childhood Education degree, or strong knowledge of child development preferred
- Up-to-date TDAP and MMR Vaccinations
- Confident supporting developmental milestones
- Warm, playful, and engaging
- Calm, patient, and emotionally regulated
- Energetic and enjoys getting on a toddler’s level through play
